Basic Stained Glass Workshop Saturday 20th April 10.30-2.30/3pm

Basic Stained Glass Workshop

A day of creativity, producing your very own stained glass panel. Consisting of five parts to a size of 130 x 130 mm. Choose from a selection of our pre drawn templates, or create your own simple design.

This is a great opportunity to try your hand at leaded glass art. Its a simpler version to some of our stained glass workshops that we’ve run before. Thanks to your feedback of wanting more of a taster, than a full on day.

How will the day look?

The day will begin at 10:30 am with a simple introduction to the process. You can then choose a design from our templates or create your own simple design.

We will then practice cutting glass. Before choosing from the array of glass colours and textures for your creation. The pieces are cut to your design, ready to be held together with lead came.

There will be a break for lunch….please bring a packed lunch with you. We are unable to offer refreshments at this time but feel free to bring your own, we recommend drinks are carried in a lidded container.

After lunch we will begin the lead work and soldering and then finally, cementing your creation all together. We aim to finish around 2.30pm but happily work until 3pm to allow for any finishing off.

This is a great experience if you are looking for something to do with some friends or family. Maybe you just want to try something new, perhaps create a piece for a special gift. Or a warm up to one of our more advanced workshops.

Whatever your reason for coming, you can be sure you will have fun and get creative!

What to know…

You do not need to have any creative experience or previous knowledge of glass. Just come along and enjoy the process and I bet you will be surprised at the results.

The classes are always small with no more than 4 students in the group so you are guaranteed full support and advice throughout the session. I am happy to take group bookings also, please get in touch to discuss. If booking for under 12 years, adult supervision is required. Our standard workshops are currently recommended for 16 + years.

Our workshops are generally undertaken standing, but seating can be arranged if needed.

What’s included in the price?

The price is fully inclusive of all glass, tuition and materials to create your piece 130 x 130mm in size.

***If you have a gift voucher you would like to use for any of our workshops please email us directly, so we can book you in***
